Amy Spanger, who created the role of Sherrie in Rock of Ages, left the show for some vocal rest after the Tony Awards and was expected to return on June 29; however, a new press statement issued today announced that she will not return due to “personal reasons.” Savannah Wise will continue to play the role until a permanent replacement has been found.
