Tony, Tony, Tony

The biggest buzz this week has all been related to the Tony Awards. From shoe-ins (The King and I) to underdogs (Fun Home) to super tight categories (Best Actress in a Musical and Best Direction of a Musical), plus performances from 10 shows currently running on Broadway…it looks to be an exciting ceremony. And of course it’s wonderful to see two stars who first made their names on Broadway, Kristin Chenoweth and Alan Cumming, leading the proceedings. Fingers crossed for a fabulous show! The telecast begins Sunday at 8/7c, but we’ll be covering the pre-show and red carpet fun and sticking through until they play everyone off. RUMOR ALERT: Cats is Eyeing a Broadway Revival

According to the Post’s Michael Riedel, the official Cat’s revival announcement may come this Sunday, during the Tony Awards telecast. There have been rumblings for a couple years now that Andrew Lloyd Webber is looking to get the third longest-running Broadway musical of all time back on its feet in America. What do you think?
