Jimmy Buffett’s Escape to Margaritaville is open on Broadway, and this new jukebox musical doesn’t sip champagne on opening night – it slugs frozen margaritas. With tiki hut lobby design (complete with frozen and on-the-rocks margaritas) and “colorful” and care-free music and characters, the production invites you to check your stresses – and your brain – at the door. If you’re a lifelong Buffett fan, or a beach bum lost in NYC, or just having a really crappy week and in need of a mental staycation, this show might be great for you.
