AWARDS SEASON 2016: Tony Award Nominees

The Tony Award nominees are out, and no one is surprised that Hamilton not only got the most nominations, but with 16 nods, also beat the record for most Tony nominations (the record was previously held by The Producers and Billy Elliot.) Trailing just behind Hamilton were Shuffle Along with 10 nominations and She Loves Me with 8. All of the nominations these shows got mean that many others found themselves with only a few nominations this year, but in the end it’s not about the quantity of nods…it’s all about the pretty prizes you take home! This year’s award ceremony will be broadcast live on June 12 at 8/7c on CBS. Join us as we cover all of the Awards fun live!
